This Atlantic cognac comes from the island of Ré "Ile de Ré", which lies near La Rochelle in the maritime part of the Charente. The island has 70km of rugged and windy coastline, which is strongly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Grapes thrive here mainly because of the stable sunny weather. The cognac is based on wine that comes from Ugni Blanc grapes harvested in the month of October.
