The Cuvée de Louis-Alexandre was created in 2000 and bears the name of the founder of the brand, Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolla, who first created the Grand Marnier liqueur. It is a tribute to his creative vision and open mind and was inspired by a ritual that Louis-Alexandre was particularly fond of - he always added a few extra drops of cognac to his glass of Grand Marnier. This blend uses aged 12 to 15 year old cognacs from the five regions of the Cognac region blended with the essence of exotic oranges of the Citrus Bigaradia variety.

It is intense and less sweet. The aroma is of candied orange with hints of citrus peel and bergamot. Notes of candied orange and macerated citrus are also present in the taste, where they are softened by hints of pine and Earl Grey tea. It has a very long finish.
