The nearest neighbors of Château Haut de la Becade are the famous Château Pichon Baron (2nd Cru Classé), Château Pichon Comtesse (2nd Cru classé), Château Lynch Bages (5th Cru Classé), and Château Croizet Bages (5th Cru Classé) !

Château Haut de la Becade has been owned by Rainaud Family for 7 generations. The vineyard has been increased to reach in the 80’s 7 hectares.

Château Haut de la Bécade is a typical wine of the prestigious Pauillac appellation. 

Vinification:

Manual harvest. Fermentation for 3 weeks at a temperature of 28° to 30° C. Aging in oak barrel for 18 to 20 months. Fining with egg whites.

Soil: Clay and limestone

Age of the vineyard : 30 years

Size of the vineyard: 7 ha (17 acres)

Annual production: 55 hl/ha

Tasting Notes:

Deep ruby color, spicy and black berries notes on the palate.
