 History:

The Estager Family are natives of Correze, in the heart of France, like the Moueix, Janoueix and Borie families. They came to the Bordeaux region in 1912. François Estager is the 4th generation of his family on Libourne’s soil. The presence of the Estager Family on the right bank is not limited to Pomerol. This family of winemakers owns two others chateaux in Lalande de Pomerol and in Montagne SaintEmilion. When they arrived in Libourne in 1912, the Estager Family were wine merchants. One century later, François Estager was elected as President of the Libourne wine merchants syndicate. This is a real homage to his ancestors!

Domaine de Compostelle, second label of Chateau La Cabanne, is located on the famous Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of the Garonne River.

Historically, the name La Cabanne comes from the small huts that were built in the vineyards.
