 History:

Château Laniote, Grand Cru Classé since 1969, belongs to the same family since 1816. It is the place of one of the oldest family in Saint-Emilion.

Arnaud and Florence de la Filolie, owners of this Classified Growth, are always pleased to welcome you for tastings or visits full of surprises! Arnaud de la Filolie is very attentive to his visitors and will be happy to share with you his hidden talents! Do not hesitate to ask him to realize one of his magic acts during your stay at Chateau Laniote.

Arnaud and Florence de la Filolie also have 3 monuments located in the heart of SaintEmilion: l’Ermitage where Emilion himself lived, the Chapelle de la Trinité (XIIIth century) and catacombs. All these vestiges, National Listed Monuments, have been purchased by La Filolie family in 1850. Saint-Emilion would have inspired the wine from Chateau Laniote? Arnaud de la Filolie, Madame Freymond Schneider’s grandson, and his wife, née Florence Ribéreau-Gayon, oenologist, their family and the 8 generations before are deeply sure of that.
