Volnay, perched on a hill occupied a narrow and steeply sloping site. The hull itself is oriented slightly differently from the general run of the country so that the vines face south-east rather than est. These vineyards have been valued and exploited for centuries. The typicality of this red Pinot Noir wine fixed as early as the 18th century. It gained its controlled appellation status en 1937.

Product detailed description

The Volnay is produced in respect of Burgundy tradition, yet taking ignite account modern oenology techniques. Aging in 30% new old barrels for 18 months. During the winemaking red wines are cooled to 12°C, to enhance the extraction of the color and aromas.

Taste: Volany has always been appreciated for tis finesse, body and bouquet. Considered as the most feminine wine produced in Burgundy.

Best served on slightly cooked meals, cheeses between 14° to 16°

Keep vintage 2006 up to 2025. Wine is perfect for drinking now
